Things are Changing
Maple Tree Transport is changing focus.
Due to the time demands of a daughter graduating high school and moving to a new farm we enlisted the services of Kurt Honey of Honey's alpacas Ranch in Indiana to drive for us for a short time. It has worked out very well and Kurt has really enjoyed meeting new folks by transporting that he has decided to buy the Maple Tree Transport business. Kurt is very good with the animals and has a true love of them. He hasn't gone into  the transport business to get rich. He is one of the good guys. I have watched him as he has moved our animals and will tell you he is our transporter of choice from now on. He is careful, loving and considerate not only of your animals but of you as well. He won't call you at midnight to tell you he will be there in an hour. He plans to operate as we did with full open lines of communication.

Here is Kurt's contact information.

Maple Tree Transport's New Focus

This change will allow us to do what we have wanted to do for some time now.

We are staying in the alpaca transport business but our new focus is helping you move your animals to shows, to the vet, or for breeding. We are designing and building custom alpaca trailers. Whether you need something to take one animal to the vet or want to take twenty cross country and have living quarters as well we will design and build exactly what you want and what your alpacas need. After 3 million alpaca miles in our rig, watching them on our monitors and caring for them on the road we know what makes your prize animals most comfortable. Our units will be alpaca friendly.

What You Want and What Your Alpacas Need

Our line of Maple Tree Trailers come with incredible flexibilty. The transport area is set up so you can move any combination of females, moms with cria little boys and herdsires comfortably all at the same time with complete isolation and safety. We can provide heat, air, video  or anything else that you may need or want. Your trailer can be equipped with a separate tack area for feed, medications and show materials. Your trailer can be fully insulated and will be easy to clean, disinfect and care for. We can provide a completely separate sealed living or dressing area. If you want wood floors and a fireplace in the living area we can build it. The Maple Tree line of deluxe trailers will be built using  Keifer Built trailers and customizing them to fit your wants and needs.

No trailer is too big or too small. No trailer is too plain or too fancy.

There is no price list because no two trailers will be the same. Your trailer will truly be your trailer.

Wings & A Prayer

Transport Services

Hi all: We're on schedule to leave Oregon Monday, June 9, headed to east coast and back. Still have room available on various parts of this trip. If you have transport needs, please contact us for pricing, schedule, and availability of space.
Our "alpaca taxi" is a fully-enclosed, 24' Interstate with multiple entry/exit doors, floor to ceiling metal mesh gates separating sections, two large windows and multiple air vents. Trailer is equipped with A/C (only used when necessary), fans, temp/humidity sensor, and camera with monitor in cab. Floor of trailer is lined with permanent cushioned spray on liner and sides are vinyl, all designed for easy cleanup and sanitation.

Special needs, such as medication, feed, etc. can be accomodated - just let us know and we'll be glad to comply. Your animals will always be treated as we do our own and given the special attention they deserve. Moms and crias are welcomed.

We transport yearly to the International Alpaca Odyssey, All American Futurity, AOBA National Conference and several other shows. Our show schedule will be posted as it is
planned. Please check back from time to time.

Pricing and Terms:
Please contact Randy for current schedule and pricing. All animals require health certificates which meet the requirements of state they will be delivered to. Health certificate must also state that animal(s) has been tested BVD negative.

Additional Details:
States frequently served include CA, OR, WA, UT, CO. We do frequent trips between Washington and California. Additional trips to the east coast are planned as the need arises, usually every other month. We usually travel with two drivers so your animals are on the trailer a very short time.

Below are some comments from some of our customers - please feel free to contact any of them for references on our transport service:

I was actually really relieved to meet Randy and Jeff (even though Nancy Brandt told me they were just great) and see their trailer and how they handled the animals. I've been stressing out so much about moving the animals and today I felt better knowing they would be well cared for. Susie Homire-Cadott, WI.

They arrived, safe 'n sound Monday evening. The transport was clean and smelled fresh. They were in deep, lush hay which was clean. Randy handed me a folder with all of the papers. ... I would certainly use them again. Deb Carpenter, Parker, CO.

We really appreciate all that you have done for us over the years. The little things that you do for us above and beyond the call of duty like taking our alpacas through long veterinary checks, picking up show numbers, placing our alpacas in the correct pens and checking on them. Your service is excellent and I am always confident that you will be careful and on schedule all the while keeping us posted on your progress. When Randy came through, I honestly could have stayed up all night enjoying the beautiful night air and talking shop. Ken & Victoria Hibbits, Montara, CA

The trailer was first rate and the girls arrived happy and healthy. We will definitely recommend you for transport in the future. Amy Witzke, Kentucky

Thanks for keeping us all updated, a real nice change in the transport service. John & Tina Malkus, Somis, CA

Please tell me how much I owe you for delivering Oscar so rapidly and carefully to my house. Kristina Holmberg-Chouinard, Yakima,WA

Haley arrived in great shape! Thanks to you all for the wonderful service! Anne Mayall, Minnesota

I must say that Maryann, from "Bush Garden Alpacas!", was very impressed with the way you handled Maganda and so were the Hibens' when you arrived there. Everyone appreciated your professionalism, even Maganda. When we heard you were coming this way again we were very glad that you could bring Carmen from "Columbia Gorgeous Alpacas." Tom Lee, Colfax, WI

Thanks for the great service! The animals arrived in fine shape. Kelly Zanella, New York

We love Novara! Randy and Jeff must have taken very good care of her because she just fit right in without any problems. No days off feed or anything. Diane Martinez, Howard City, MI

Thank you all soooooo much for helping us out with getting Phantom home. You guys are very understanding and accommodating. Michele Cote, Boyd, TX.

Thanks again for all the ways you have helped me. I wouldn’t have the wonderful alpacas from far and wide I love so much without you both! You’re still on the top of my list and the FIRST people I will always call for transport.Teresa Bayse, Columbia, MO

I was happy to hear Tammy uses you -I've heard nothing but good things about you guys. Amanda Villareal, San Jose, CA

That is a VERY fair price for Mom AND Cria...Thank you very much. Dave Serino, NY

Cookie arrived in wonderful shape. Randy did an EXCELLENT job!! Thank you both SO much for a safe delivery. You have been so accomodating and kind. My thanks to you. Laurie Saputo, Ocala, FL

Thank you, we really appreciate the great care of our alpacas in transit. Amanda VandenBosch, Salinas, CA

We really admired you folks after Randy was so forthcoming about the BVD exposure on the truck last year and gave us the option of not sending our pg females with him. I'm sure it was difficult financially for you, but you really earned a lot of goodwill I'm sure by your honesty with everyone. You sure did with us! Debbie Wood, Colorado Springs, CO

I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to Wings and a Prayer Alpacas Transportation Service for bringing 7 of my alpacas. The animals arrived in the exact time frame promised and they were all in wonderful shape after the cross-country trip! Barbara kept me informed of the progress of the trip. Randy and Jeff spent a lot of time answering every possible question I had when they arrived. I couldn’t be more appreciative of their service, I am using them again this November to bring my other 3 alpacas home.
Ronnie Nagimesi,
Snellville, Georgia

Both you and Randy do such a super job with your alpaca business! I really am impressed with how you do business. There are alot of people in the industry that should take lessons from you two! Shelly Morris, Dos Rios Alpacas, Fillmore, CA

Thanks for the great service. Want to tell you that all this effort is certainly appreciated. Both your up-to-date coverage and the care the animals get as well as being on a truck for as little time as humanly possible. It is precious cargo in more than just money. I love my animals.
THANK YOU!!!! Lisa, Nazareth, PA
